TECHNICAL INSPECTION

Technical inspection is a set of activities for checking the technical condition of high-risk machinery, mechanisms and equipment.

It is performed to assess the quality of manufacture, installation, repair, reconstruction and upgrading; determine the conditions and period of further safe operation; evaluate the technical condition of assemblies, parts and their elements; and verify compliance with technical requirements. Technical inspections may be initial, periodic (scheduled) or extraordinary.

Using modern measuring instruments, our qualified personnel perform every type of technical inspection for the following high-risk equipment:

lifting cranes and machinery;
lifts;
platforms for lifting workers;
escalators and passenger conveyors;
powered suspended platforms for lifting workers;
high-risk amusement devices, whether fixed, relocatable or mobile;
vehicle lifts;
pressure equipment;
boilers.

Our technical inspection process comprises several stages:

review of operating, design and repair documentation, where available;
analysis of operating conditions and modes;
visual inspection;
testing and non-destructive testing where required by occupational safety legislation and by organisational, methodological and operating documents;
assessment of technical condition;
determination of the conditions and period of further operation.

After completing the technical inspection, the specialist records the inspection results, permitted operating parameters and due date of the next inspection in the equipment passport or other operating document.

We also provide equipment passport preparation and restoration services.

Our experts can restore or prepare a passport for high-risk equipment when the manufacturer’s original technical passport has been lost or when a passport supplied by the equipment vendor does not comply with current Ukrainian legislation.
